GLS Managed IDS

GLS Managed IDS is proactively managed intrusion detection for Host and Remote sites. GLS installs a Snort IDS server on a monitor only port on the LAN switch. The managed IDS server then provides surveillance and provides information regarding attacks and compromises. When GLS is managing the firewall, routers and network servers GLS will proactively correct any vulnerabilities associated with managed devices. In situations where GLS is not managing the connected device, such as a desk top PC; GLS proactively notifies the client of the problem so the client can resolve the issue. A good example of this would be a computer becomes infected with a virus. The IDS system would detect if the computer was behaving significantly outside of standards and GLS would notify the client that the computer had a virus and should be removed from the network and cleaned by the clients PC support team.
